Two really great images - bring back so many memories of the steam era. I think I would have edited out the photographer in the colour image.

Both photos are great. The colors in the first one are wonderful. If the gentleman with the camera wasn't there, it would be harder to choose between both photos. Congrats!

Unfortunatelly I can't see the first image because of the Gremlins , I see a different and strange image But your second shot looks great John

Dave D, that's definitely an alternative crop and it works but I wanted to keep a bit of human interest. As it is, I have already cloned out the man's wife and another Photographer. The owner of the house was generous enough to invite both of us into his yard but I thought that I had the better viewpoint (all to myself as well in the end). On reflection though, I could have toned down the edge highlights more (post and lean-to).
If everyone had the same vision it would be really boring. Your original interpretation was awesome. Cheers!

Thanks all for the continued comments.

No problem at this end Binnur. It must be a regional thing?? I've re-posted it to see if it makes any difference. (I've also removed the figure but I' not sure about it).

Thank you John, I can see the color image now. Although the color one is nice , IMO the B&W image is certainly superior. BTW, I think you are right that Gremlins' visits are regional
