Izzie......you did so well with the images, and your funny titles

I truly like them all, but, perhaps of the colours, the last image is a little bit my favorite........

    Hi Izzie,

I like them all. The last one is my favourite, maybe because off the title....

But, allow me to nitpick a bit..
There seems to be some noise in the backround (or it could be my eyes), removing this could enhance your images.
Maybe just lighten the eye a bit in 1& 3.
Even a tighter crop in 5 ? I do see some halo's around the bird (in nr 5), maybe due to some PP ??

    Izzie... izzie on the sliders!

Nice composition and focus in all of them. I like the processing in #1 best, #2 looks a bit oversaturated, #3 undersaturated and a touch underexposed. Two much sharpening in #4 and #5. #4 also has a high contrast look with the whites slightly blown, yet there is no pure white.

The bird in #5 is hilarious, whatever he is, grumpy face.

Very nice set. I like 1,2 and 5. Titles are fine too. hehe

You may want to consider how you sharpen. #1 is fine, #2 is somewhat too much, #5 too much.

I think you have given these birds personality. It's a bit like street photography but on water. You have caught good moments in each one.

Good Morning, Izzie. I like the composition of these. There does seem to be a bit of noise in #5 particularly. I have found that to be the case when I have underexposed and tried to compensate in post-processing...or maybe it is due to iso 3200. Anyway it is a nice set.

Izzie, there is no doubt that they are nice/great images, but...I feel a rant a coming.

When Tony said this "It's a bit like street photography but on water", it struck me as being true.
It's what I've done for years...to the point that I find it boring, yet, I lack the vision to do better,
however "better" might defined. Nonetheless, it does gnaw at me.

Perhaps, you could tell me what's next.

Love them all! #5 cropped to reduce the area at the back of the heron could be considered. Glad you had fun with these!

I liked the images a lot. The street-like photography commentary made sense to me too. I wouldn't have any additional C&C to the ones already given, so it's only left to me to congratulate you for the pics and the inspiring titles.

Very entertaining, Izzie. Looks like you were having fun both shooting and editing the photos. The first shot of the black duck is really excellent. As others have pointed out the last one is way over sharpened.

I must admit these are not my best processing though my shots were good in a way...I should have used the USM in Photoshop instead of Nik's Output Sharpener...my bad.

Thanks to you too Ole...I am glad I entertained you with my titling...LOL

Thanks. See my reply to Rudi (Message 18). I should had left that alone...I was happy with all of them apart from the sharpness. That #4 thingie should have been left alone as it was. #5 is a kingfisher...nice colour. We were in the elephant enclosure when I walked a little bit too far and spied this one under one of the shadows trying to land...so I waited till it was sulking and took the shot...
