A rare genre for me. One of the few "people" pictures I have taken that rises above snapshot.

My granddaughter was terrified to do this. Her brothers patiently coaxed her and went a few times to show her it was fun. As you can see, the terror was fully vanquished.

Had a hard time dragging her away. We could only go for lunch if we promised to let them come back for another four slides each.

We all had a great time. Or at least I did until I tried to step over the slide out apron at the base. One foot contact, off balance 61 year old on slick polished ice. Result: a fair sized goose egg on my cranium. Did not prevent me from continuing to photograph though and no damage to the camera/lens. Only put a five minute damper on proceedings. A minor tuition fee to remind me to be cautious.
