Well captured (been there). Don't think you need all of the FG though.
Good capture, Matt. Who's guarding who?
Sergio
Nice capture; although I agree with the foreground suggestion.
In this case the dog is a Bichon Friese. The Bichon is descended from the Barbet or Water-Spaniel from which came the name "Barbichon", later contracted to Bichon.
Actually, although generally considered "lap-dogs", these small dogs are quite brave and somewhat sturdy.
Some men are so unsure of their masculinity that they are ashamed to be connected with small dogs. That is a shame because these little dogs can be great companions.
I might have cloned in more shadow to give the appearance of the middle finger...
I am guessing the shadow leaning against the lamp post is you but I would crop it out completely, skew the top left corner to have the wall perfectly vertical and perhaps crop a bit from the top too. If you shoot raw, you might be able to show more detail in dogs fur by doing some curve adjustment.
I like the composition, especially the three shadows working as leading lines. Not sure if I feel more uneasy about the dog or the guy, but I would not like to encroach on their territory
I like it. Tough looking guy with a adorable dog, winning combination in my book. And a great street shot, actually very NYC.
I like the leading lines formed by the shadows. I think I can see the photographer hiding behind the pole?
