Interesting shot, a bit of mystery throughout the composition, not sure if it's possible but should try to recover some detail on lefthand portion of shot. Good capture of patterns, textures, and shapes.

Ashish - this one is not working particularly well for me because it is so busy and has no easily identifiable subject. I do like the overhead perspective, as it point of view is unusual.

The material's in the vendor's boat steal our attention, especially the beer cooler (two of the cans look like they are Singha), the other two I can't identify with ice in it. The other dishes are on white material and the topped coconuts are white as well. So much white that we really don't notice the person rowing the boat.

In the tourist boat, the cut off bodies on the one side hinder doing much with the image.

Ashish, I second Manfred's view. There is so much going on in the picture, almost two pictures, one brightly lit and the other a bit darker. That is only my opinion.
    Cheers Ole

Thanks John... i pulled it in as much as i could... it's the light reflecting on the plastic covering and the ice... tricky exposure.

Thanks for your thoughts Manfred... I was lining up for another shot when i noticed this scene unfold below the bridge i was standing on... had little time to take shot or i would have missed it the way i visualised it.

Getting one of those last second ideas for a shot usually results in something that almost works. One trick that I have learned to improve my chance of success is to shoot a bit wider than I normally would and that leaves more margin of error. You can always crop any excess.

The good news is that now that you have visualized this type of shot, you are going to be on the lookout for more like this one, and not necessarily just people and boats. Cars at rush hour beneath an overpass, people on a train platform taken from an elevated walkway, etc.

There are so many combinations and permutations of this type of shot to really get the creative ideas flowing!

You bet! Will surely be on the lookout for more such shots... hopefully will get it right next time around.

Ashish...like Matt, I like this shot. It is not really completely lost. I enjoyed most of all, going through the goodies in the boat and inspecting what those photographers on the other boat were doing and what they are using. I like young coconuts and I can identify another one -- jackfruit or was that durian?n

Your boat seller shots are all interesting and colourful and I love sticky-beaking on their produce. Missed all those fresh produce here. Good theme lately, Ashish. Love them all.
