I love this image. The marbles and the boy's hands and arms lead my eye directly to his very intense expression.

However, I think that if this were my image, I would crop it more tightly, like this:

Hi Tejal, great concentration on the boy's face I find the flying marbles distracting and I would clone them. I like Richard's crop but because the BG is blurred nicely I think the environment adds to the image and iF the image was mine I would only clone the flying marbles and keep the rest as is.

What a lovely image Tejal. You have caught this boy at the right moment. His intense concentration really adds to the image. It does make me wonder where his friends are?

Thanks . Others were standing towards my side. this little boy was quite expert in hitting the marble. The others were trying to distract his attention .

This is a great shot, Tejal! I especially like how you got down low at eye level with your subject. I can only restate what others have already said about the image; the boy's concentration, the action of the marbles motion, etc.

The image does not look quite sharp to me, so I had a look at the full-size one on your Flickr site and that confirmed this lack of sharpness. At f/5 on your lens, I would guess that the shot is at full aperture? The 1/500th sec should freeze the motion. My guess is that the camera focused in front of the boy, likely on the marbles on the ground. Out of focus can't be fixed, but I tried a bit of sharpening to see if it might help a bit.

I also found that lifting the shadow detail opens up the boy's face and body a bit and I think that helps a bit too. I also agree with the others that suggest that the marble flying through the air on the left is distracting, so I cloned it out and I also found I agreed with the people who felt the boy was too centred, so I cropped to increase the asymmetry in th e shot a bit. Here is my edit:

I like this shot. I just struggle with the focal point being on the marbles on the ground and not on the boy's face. In a close shot like this a slightly higher aperture would have kept them all in focus. I tend to be an opportunist photographer rather than setting shots up and when I posted a shot up here where the subject was slightly out of focus, the best advice I got was to set the camera to Aperture mode with an aperture that provides a deeper depth of field. This allows a reaction shot to have a better chance of being in focus. It doesn't fix shots you have already taken but it will make for a greater percentage of sharp shots in the future. At least, it works for me.

It is still a really good shot and I love the young boy's look of concentration, especially once it has been sharpened. I am not sure about the cropping because the cropping also makes the boy's face larger and so the focus more obvious. Just my amateur opinion.

thanks for your feedback. At that time, I was more keen in capturing the moment where the boy hit the marble and at the same time I wanted to include the presence of the player also. In fact I tried to capture him little blur.

But as you all suggested, I would have taken some shots where the boy is also in focus. I might be having some shots were the boy is in focus (which was taken by mistake :P) . I will check my other pics too.
