    Hi Melanie - nice capture. I'm not sure what the other people add to the composition though - have you tried cropping them out? I'd lose the whole left third of the image, but not crop from the right to leave negative space. The other thing I suggest is playing with some structure / clarity tools, I think it could work well to separate the wonderful architecture and your subjects.

    But for me, you have possibly lost something with the crop; but it depends on your intentions.

    The original is a general street scene with quite a lot of interesting things happening while the crop is solely about those two people and the dog. To me, both options have their merits.
