Darn good shot of the Kite Roger!

Thanks to everyone for the votes! The funny thing about this shot is I got to Bolsa Chica seen a friend leaving and asked if he seen anything good? He said the Kite is right behind us (I had never got a decent shot of one and this was only the second time ever seeing one) I turn and see a line up of maybe 10 guys with tripods and 800mm lens's I say to my friend I was kind of hoping for a unique shot not 1 of 10. Photography like that is weird the bird will move his head and it sounds like machine guns with all of the shutters going off. But I go back to my truck get my tripod stand in the line and he doesn't move for 15 min. the sun drops behind a tree everyone packs up and I broke down my tripod but before I left he flew out of the shadow went and got a mouse came back and ate it then proceeded to do it again. It was crazy when he first flew the guys were 100 feet from me but talking as they walked away, I didn't yell at them that he flew, am I a jerk?

Nope not a jerk. This 100 guys who always seem to turn up after me AND who decide to leave before I do, deserve not getting the shots that I get and not them. Many people have it fixed in their heads that good shots can only be had when there is light.

Thanks to those who voted for my herons. Kaye's, Trevor's and Roger's shots were way better.
