I have been culling some of my older stuff.
This was taken during the Dia de los Muertos celebration last October. The man was intently preparing the incense. It is a tight crop because there were a lot of things going on around him.

It looks like he is doing a ritual -- Dia de los Muertos will be the same as Todos los Santos held in November 1 each year? Others prepare a day or two earlier...I like his face mask if that is what it is...

Izzie, I think you are right about it being a ritual, and I'm pretty sure it is a mask he is wearing. I hope to be able to go again this year and hopefully get some hands on experience and learn more. It was hard getting this photo because there were people everywhere. Originally Posted by IzzieK
