Paramount Ranch
Found this place up in the hills while we were out at Nobu for lunch in Malibu. It is an old western movie set which is quite small but which has been in quite a few films.
I took quite a few pictures but this one is my favourite.

Re: Paramount Ranch
Looks like an interesting place to shoot; lots of potential for some great shooting. The image itself looks rather underexposed.

Re: Paramount Ranch
Ilike this image but I agree with Manfred regarding exposure... However, the look could be just in the processing... I did a NIK Viveza experiment and there is a lot of variation possible in this basically very sound image...

Re: Paramount Ranch
I had to go back and check what I had done to this one, it appears that I delibaretly lowered the exposure by .6
Here is the version with SOOC exposure.

I like the unreal and almost sterile look you have in this image. As a movie set, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised if things look a touch too good to be true in that classical "western genre' look.
I find this brightness level works better for me, BUT I'm not sure I particularly like the heavy yellow colour cast. I suspect I understand why you are taking the PP work in that direction, you definitely have that "old picture" faded look going there.
I personally like trying these old scenes as B&W images, sometimes with a yellow or sepia tint for that period look (I suspect this image would work well as a monochrome).

Re: Paramount Ranch
Did you have to book way ahead to go to lunch at Nobu? I have a coffee table book on Nobu restaurant. Anyway, that is beside the point. I like what you did to this image. It looks more subtler than the original shot...
