    Street Photography

Instead of posting a new thread for every image, I'm going to use this thread to post my street photography images.

    All by my selfie.

Not quite as satisfied with this one Matt, seems all a bit OOF. I would really wish this one were tack sharp as there is so much to see. And the group on the left...skipping and jumping to the Free Cash machine...I mean...I would too.

The first thing I noticed was the free cash machine...I wonder how you get free money from one of those??? -- I always have to work for mine . Poor lady taking a selfie -- she is really alone. Maybe she should put a label "Free Money" in my purse so people will mill around her too...

Jack has some valid points, Matt, but still an interesting capture.

I think the reason it seems a little out of focus is because I wasn't as close to the subject as I'd liked and had the focus pre-set to 1.5m.

Nice one, Matt. Did you wait for this one or just happen upon the scene?

I walked behind him for a few minutes and luckily I seen this shop window so caught up with him and grabbed the shot.

Like that a lot. Good street photography. Low angle is good. How low down were you?

    Matt,
The first shot is nicely composed, but the degree of overexposure is so great that there are a number of areas without any detail at all, the most severe being the woman at our right side of the group around the bank machine.
I much prefer the second shot as the exposure is better, and the subjects posture and expression give the shot interest.
There is a bit of space at the bottom that adds nothing and cropping off the first two rows of paving stones, I think would improve the shot.

    Cheers both.

Robert fair point, the exposure was fine SOOC. I think I just went overboard with the contrast slider

    Stay in Lane

This scene reminded me of 100m sprint race in the olympics, with the shadows of the railings acting us the dividing lines for the sprinters lanes.

I know people are going to suggest cropping some of the foreground and that black square... but for some reason I kind of like it.

    Re: Stay in Lane

Nicely captured, I think that corner shadow area is a composition on its own, I would keep the rail lines, cropping just below the striders feet.
