    Ibis Light Three ways

    Direct, Obscured(Shadow), Reflected

    Ibis Light Three ways

And there's probably a bit of refraction and diffraction in the reflection

It's OK but I get so many Ibis around here it's hard to find something to differentiate the images. That one is interesting to me because of the light but I actually prefer this one.

    Ibis Light Three ways

I caught it from a boardwalk in Corkscrew Swamp. I saw it further away in the muck and just waited as it approached. It was definitely concentrating on feeding and as long as I didn't do anything sudden was perfectly happy to continue. Then, the joggers ame down the boardwalk.

FWIW...I find it impossible to obtain feather detail in white birds without resorting to PS.

Some of these birds are so white and smooth that there isn't a lot of detail. It's not just white birds I find Cedar Waxwings so smooth that it's almost impossible to get detail in their feathers too.

Yes, white birds are so difficult. I find lightly overcast conditions produce best results, never really successful in bright sun.

I like both those images because both has/have something unusual about them (both has or both have? )

    Each has something

    Both have something

Unfortunately school was a long time ago and I don't recall why. It probably relates more to the 'something' and not the each or both.
