Rusty Blackbird
Beside the Blandings turtle, my other find for the day was the Rusty Blackbird. This quite uncommon bird is experiencing a rapid decline in population. The male has black plumage with rusty tips in non breeding condition. The male that I captured is in breeding condition and has shed those rusty tips. The most telling characteristic is those yellow eyes.

Nice efforts, were these shot through a window, there is a cloudy section at lower left?

These were shot through scrub between the wildlife drive at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge and a swamp, these are with the fewest obstruction as I could manage
