    A couple Irises

I am a bit rusty at this sort of thing. The sun was shining through the trees and the backlight on the blue one caught my eye.The bee landed as the timer was ticking

Flowers are neat and popular subjects because: they don't move (of their own accord anyway) and because they are colorful and beautiful. These flowers are both colorful and beautiful...

I might think about increasing the structure and perhaps adding a slight vignette. But, they are quite nice as is!

Thank you Binnur, those are real pretty roses. they start out orange and yellow and turn to a dusty pink when fully opened.

My favourite is #1 with the sun shining in it and around it. The bee is incidental. This year is the second year I had planted a blue iris. I am not even sure it will bloom despite that I asked Bill to put some fencing on that area. Last year the dogs trampled on them new plantings I did. Anyway, if they grow, I will have three blues and three pale yellows. They are Bill's favourite flowers and all we have are pale and dark purples...and a few strong yellows at the front of the house. I also have the same classic rose that you have. It will flower soon too. I am glad that your wife love flowers.
