    Romehattan

Dan - Northernfocus - reminded me of this photo. One needs to visit Rome (and Greece too) to understand the influence of the Roman architecture on our own building(s). As a result I took this image expressly because of the similarity of the architecture of these NYC buildings to those original buildings of Rome and environs.

It's this style of architecture that first interested me in the arts. Nicely captured. As a side note, some of the structures in Rome are in peril of being destroyed for new housing.

It's interesting how much architecture is based on the past.

Time changes almost everything -- the frontrunner of the 2016 US election mentioned Rome (hattan) last night in his speech. Gotta love him. We will visit NY in the next few months.

"The more things change the more they stay the same." Visiting NY State or actually coming to the Big Apple? Lot of things to see and do and great photo ops.
