Film Camera (Canon EOS Rebel T2)

Quite unexpectedly I have been given, by a very kind neighbor, a Canon EOS Rebel T2 film camera. It came with a zoom lens (35-80mm).
Does anyone have or has had experience with this type of camera? The camera seems to work quite well.
I ran a roll through it today, and am awaiting the results from the lab.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I've kept an EOS 500N, which predates your T2 (300X).

The T2 has some layouts and functionalities quite similar to the Canon EOS Digital cameras.

There are quite a few EF35 to 80 lenses - which one specifically?
