I dug out my old Pentax-F 50mm f1.7 and put it on the X-T1 via a K&F adapter where it has stayed for the last couple of days while I've been out with the dog. The camera meters and even offers aperture priority though it does mean I have to go back to MF (ah the good old days) but with focus peaking and the split screen option its not that much of a hardship.

I wanted to make the most of the sharpness I know the lens can deliver at or very near wide-open so looked for, composed and tried to shoot images that would suit - its been a bit windy of late which made MF even more tricky but I was surprised at how good the EVF is.
