Planes of Fame Series

I shot this right after daylight. I had paid extra to be allowed on Chino Airport at 5:30 am with the expectation that I would get some sunrise photos. However the day dawned misty gray and we really didn't see the sun for a goodly part of the day. This was shot with a Canon 7D and a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens at ISO 320, using 1/80 second @ f/2.8...

However, even though there was no sunrise to shoot, I could walk around just about anywhere on the flight line. There were only 75 people allowed in at that time...
