a couple of candid kid's portraits
A couple of candid child portraits from today's family outing with friends:
1. It's a shame about her missing hand, but I love the juxtaposition of her soft clothes and skin textures against the metal and glass. The same juxtaposition exists in the colours. Laslty, the light really works for me.
2. Here is a quick portrait of my friend's daughter at dinner, shot with the Oly 45mm which I LOVE and bounced on-board flash. Those eyes!

I prefer the innocence of #1. That camera contact is a little bit uncertain but she'll grow out of it and will soon pose more for you as you go along...The second one is the eyes too. I still prefer #1. I guess I love innocent looks in kids.

She was giving me evils because I wanted her to hold my hand and she wanted to run around like a tornado! She knows her own mind already...

Wait till she is three -- you will hear a lot of reasoning and a lot of running away to tease you (and try your patience.) With kids you have to have eyes at the back of your head too.
