Nicely composed. The expanse of sand really works for the subject.

Great scene, nicely composed. But the electrical cable in the background breaks the illusion.

This is definitely an interesting image, Ashish, and once again, all that sand makes me a bit nervous (I had a video camera destroyed in the Sahara desert, by the fine flour like sand some years ago).

I do like all the negative space in the image, but I don't love the sky. It does give you great lighting for the shot, but it is so gray and featureless that it doesn't really do much for the image. I agree with others about the electrical poles and lines, but can't quite decide whether I like them in the image or not.

Regardless, you seem to have had an interesting trip and have brought back some great images.

What a beautiful shot, Ashish....great composition. You seem to be having a good time ...

Manfred, cameras nowadays are more resilient and weather-proof and I guess when you go out to this kind of place, it is like going to a humid atmosphere and don't have to change lens to keep the dirt and dust out.

Griddi -- ask Dave for a cake.

But only if you have a weather sealed camera and a weather sealed lens with a rear gasket. Features that are normally seen only on the pro or semi-pro models.

Oh yes, these gaskets can fail (I have some personal experience here) and you have to VERY carefully remove any dust before changing lenses. If sand get into the seals and gaskets, they act as an abrasive and cause these seals to deteriorate and fail more quickly.

I also like this image very much just the way it is.

However, there could be a secondary way to crop the image, making a pano out of it. I think that this also tipifies the expanse of the desert but, adds some more focus on the subjects...

This is a great photo, IMO. It makes me wonder though.

What is the background of the picture shown being taken?

Is there an opportunity to make some money helping tourists record their camel rides?
