Great collection... Every time I turned a corner in Venice, there was a new image to be captured...

Re: Venice "Street"
Once again, you have brought back some memories from Venice.
We've got to get back to that part of the Europe again. We were there four years ago, after my wife had her cancer diagnosis, but before the surgery and chemo / radiation. We had planned the trip to Florence and Venice before the diagnosis and she felt she needed it in order to get herself ready for what she was about to face. The distraction was great, and under the circumstances, enjoyable, but there was a dark cloud hanging over the whole trip.
Things did go well and she has been cancer free for over four years now.

Re: Venice "Street"
Thanks for all the comments, folks. It's hard to get anywhere walking here due to wanting to stop every few steps to shoot another photo. It really is interesting seeing all of the services, deliveries, etc. of the city being done by boat and/or on foot.
Manfred, glad that your wife's treatment was effective and that she is doing well. Yes I'd say you owe yourselves a return trip.

Re: Venice "Street"
Nice set of images Dan, I really like the framing in the first one and the woman and child.
The expression on the woman's face is so serious, like she is aware of the dangers and cruelties of the world we live in, which the young girl has to yet to face. Meanwhile the young girl is completely oblivious and full of innocence.

Re: Venice "Street"
Thanks for the comments, Matt. We just arrived back home. Thirty hours door to door from the time we left the hotel in Rome.
Your description of the mom and child sums it up. Look what life does to us.
