The color and lighting in this photograph is wonderful. Well done!

Nicely captured. If bricks down under are same size as in the US that guy looks like a meter and a half or so?

Nice! I bet that is a great place to warm up with the sun heating the bricks.

Richard, these are excellent pictures as yours always are. It looks like an eastern brown snake to me, in which case it is deadly poisonous.

Aussie Bricks are 230 X 110. Stretched out that snake was probably full grown at about 1.8m. In my haste to get the shot and get out of there I missed a fair bit of her tail. Luckily it was a cool morning so she wasn't up to operating temperature.

The Eastern brown snake is responsible for most snake bite deaths in Aus; if they give anything more than a warning bite then no amount of antivenin will save you. It is an aggressive bad tempered reptile and should most definitely be left to a professional snake catcher to relocate it. They are a protected specie in the eyes of the law - to date they have made no reciprocal agreement.

You realize, of course, that all that high UV radiation has damaged all your brains down there! "They are a protected specie in the eyes of the law" just shaking my head!

    Nice set Dicky,
Though I am not a big fan of reptiles, my ex-wife was pretty cold.

The abundance of stingy bitey things down under never cease to amaze me. You all do realize that while originally your ancestors were SENT to Oz as punishment you all CAN leave now, right? You do know that?
Okay so the image...very cool. In the first one I'm guessing that the reason for those vertical humps was that was her way of moving along that very narrow ledge? Is that an abandoned building? As dangerous as you say it is (and I have NO reason whatsoever to doubt you) it's a bit terrifying to think that it's sunning itself along someone's house.
