By which I assume you mean the texture was only revealed by PP?
If you shoot RAW: the answer is NO.
If you shot jpg and fine tune some settings of your Picture Controls (or whatever Sony call them), you might get close to it, but you'd either be applying those settings to all your shots (when sometimes the subject matter wouldn't need it), or you'd be changing them willy-nilly, on the fly between subjects, assessing the results on the camera's LCD, which is hardly the best place to be making those judgements.
If you want consistently the best quality images, you need to shoot RAW and individually PP each scene shot on a computer - as I believe you are.
