    Hay field rust

I came across this rusty old car in a hay field just off the highway last week.

Someone, somewhere, needs that windshield trim piece.

Nice shots. Worth a revisit for more and in a diffeent light. Particularly like the 3rd. The first needs a bit more room above the roof for me and perhaps a little less 'brown' - the rust is so beautiful your treatment here loses it a little for me

Nice shots Dave. I like #3 the best due to its nice texture and color.

Nice series Dave. Excellent detail and color in the last one.

Kaye, with the first shot I did more of a sepia PP but lost the red color of the rust. The more I look at it I think I will remove the sepia. I do have room on that image so I can decrease the crop. Thank you for the comments.

    Hi Dave,

    I agree with Kaye's suggestions on #1.

I like how you have captured the twisted chassis in #2.

The red rust colours are more pleasing in #3, but that's just the way it has weathered.

    Got any more?

You're welcome. If you do make another visit you could also make some either arty or fun shots by including someone inside, if you have a willing someone.

I prefer both #2 and #3. You have captured the textures there very well.

I like number three because the car has personified personality; it feels dejected, alone. I'm thinking Wall-E with the whole fender/headlight sloping down.
