    Melania, portraiture is not my forte, but if I had generated this image I would be quite proud of what I had achieved.
    This is a fine study. The lighting is nicely balanced. Your friend's expression is enigmatic (to me), and quite captivating.

    when I looked it it earlier I didn't much like it. But after some coffee and the dogs settling down. I took a closer look.

    I do really like it! for the lighting and expression.

    This is also classified as "short" lighting; which is when the shadow side of the face is towards the camera. It makes a dramatic style of portraiture as in this image...
