    What a lovely shot.

This photo renders space well, it isn't afraid to breathe with those large margins and layers. The people sell the scale effectively. I appreciate the realistic saturation and lighting. Not too contrasty, not too bright. It's not trying to be an HDR.

One thing this forum has taught me so far is not to be afraid of the crop. The reflection is lovely, but it ends and there is a bright area of water at the bottom of the frame. I would crop up a bit, that bright water doesn't add anything to the image. I would also pull in the right edge very slightly to remove that person. Finally, if you want to really muck with it to an unnecessary degree, the white van rear to the right of the main house caught my eye and held it more than necessary.

    Hi John,

I think Julian has a good suggestion with regard to the lower edge crop.

Regarding the half person exiting frame on right hand edge, because of the tree above them, I don't think I would crop them off, I'd clone them out instead (and their reflection).

Yes, that van and its open door is quite eye-catching - if you didn't fancy cloning it out, a subtle burning to reduce its brightness and blur to remove the effect that its dead straight edges (that have become so well defined by sharpening), might do the trick.

One other thing I would try if mine, would be a slight boost of Local Contrast using USM, starting with; Amount 15%, Radius 100px, Threshold 0 and adjust Amount as necessary for a slightly more contrasty/colourful overall impression.

    HTH, Dave

Hmm...the problems and suggestions had already been addressed so I have nothing else to contribute to this. I like the scene very much. You have a good pair of eyes.

Nice image John Cloning seems to have worked fine. I would also clone the half person next to the right frame.
