Helpful Posts: In the old city of Madrid streetnames are shown on ceramic tiles, visualizing what the name means. Somebody told me that was done for the illiterate so they could find their way in the city. I couldn't verify that story.

Very interesting. I realize the signs are the subject, but the streets with the activity add even more interest.
