Hi Kaare. Thank you for looking and commenting, I'm glad that you are happy with the image generally
The original image is actually brighter but pushing the dehaze and clarity sliders caused some loss of detail in the shadows. I might have worked that part as a seperate layer and brush out the very dark parts but I actually didn't bother myself very much because I wasn't happy with the IQ anyway.Even so I lifted the shadows just a little bit for you on the JPG image and I think it looks better.I didn't want to do more because the details on the rocks become a distraction then. You might find the colors better now because opening up the shadows reduced the color contrast a bit and the colors don't look as strong as before although I haven't changed the saturation at all in my edit. BTW I must tell you that I'm a person who likes strong colors . I upload my images to Flickr and I have been invited to some groups there which have nice images with strong colors . I'm happy with the faves my images are getting there. So , I agree with you that it is all about one's taste
I have uploaded my second edit and the SOOC raw image (resized and saved as JPG) for you.
I also would like to say welcome as I guess this is the first time I'm communicating with you
