Finally got one...

Spotted this while washing the car this morning and decided to take a shot of it. Windy, full sun, but what the heck, might as well try.

So, I brought it inside and took my time getting this shot.



SOOC jpeg. Nex-7, Micro Nikkor 55 2.8 using a PK 13 extension tube. Long duration shot as I don't have a decent flash set up for macro work at this time.

Beautiful Alan. A ring flash for macro work is not too expensive...and thank you, I learned something -- long duration shot.

A little later in the afternoon, the sun was coming directly thru the window and hitting the pod just right.
It illuminated the 'hairs' just right to give it some 'sparkle'.



Izzie - when I want to get some dof I usually just set the aperture smaller and let it expose longer. That's how I make sure I get some use out of my tripod too.

Based on my experience with dandelions, if they can take root in carpet now you've got a big problem on your hands

I was extremely careful not to loose any of the seeds inside the house Dan, as I didn't want that to happen.


(I'm the one who vacuums now that I'm retired so didn't want that job made any more difficult either.)
