    Kishwaukee Maple

I haven't posted here for many months. Here is a recent image from a camera converted to infrared by LifePixel (Super Color IR filter). Post processing is a bit of a challenge since I don't do much black & white. This is a two image pano of a nearby forest preserve and local river. The b&w conversion was done in Silver Efex Pro 2, a program I like very much. I realize the edge of the walking path in the lower left is a distraction. I may reshoot this at a future date and eliminate that problem. This was mainly a test image for post processing techniques and practice. My old Canon 1Ds/infrared is getting a nice workout these days. I'll post some color IR later. Comments and critiques are welcome.

I tried a couple of things...

First I used the clone stamp and covered the walking path bottom image left

Then I opened NIK Viveza and used the shadow adjustment slider at about -25% and the structure slider at +25%

I kind of like the result but, won't post it unless you desire...

I've never been really a fan of IR although at some stage I was...maybe because of the fact that I have to have to convert a camera to shoot just one type -- IR. But this one is looking very good indeed. Good job.

I really like this Paul. Regarding the lower left corner, you might consider cloning some grass in to that spot. Beautiful photo.
