Rock Staircase
These old steps were photographed in IR and had a "Find Edges" filter applied (Filter > Stylize > Find Edges). Contrast and color saturation were adjusted to give this result. It produces a very unusual looking image, with an almost photo negative effect along with interesting range of color. I've tried this technique on various subjects and only a few gave a result I liked, shot in either visible light or IR. This is pretty "artsy" for me but I like its different appearance from a literal interpretation.
The blue diagonal streak through the middle of the frame is a tree shadow on the stone wall. The steps are in a wooded area so these are hard to avoid. Comments welcome.
