The head looks a bit like a leafhopper but they don't usually hold their wings out like that.
Here is a not very good shot of one.

I don't think it is a leaf hopper. The wings on this beast don't fold back and he or she is definitely attracted to cucumbers, squash and potato greens. Originally Posted by Saorsa
