The massive sea fortress of Suommenlina / Sveaborg just of the coast of Helsinki Finland was the brainchild of Count Augustin Ehrensvärd. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a detail of his grave that is within the fortress.

Well captured, Manfred. The subject dominates the scene and renders a less than clean BG mute. As a matter of fact the BG is complimentary IMO. I like it.

Thanks Dan - that was in fact what I was after as this helps set the context of the image.

My normal instinct is to blur out the background by shooting a fairly shallow DoF, but I did some aperture bracketing (?) to play with the DoF and found that in this case I liked the in-focus background image better.
