Hi Travis,
I didn't like this when I viewed it in the thread at 700px, but fortunately you uploaded larger - when viewed in the LyteBox, full screen at 1600 x 1094, it is great - I like the captured movement of hands, nets and water.
If mine, I think I'd try a little dodge and burn to slightly reduce the white hull brightness and increase the brightness of the human subject, especially his face.
Well spotted Brian, I see the bottle contains a candle or, as you suggest, some other wick and fuel arrangement, the discolouration of the soot towards the top belies its purpose.

Nicely composed, the colors look a bit odd though. Was this shot originally underexposed, backlit?
