Helpful Posts: The Monarchs only lay their eggs on Milkweed but they feed on any number of plants. This one is feeding on a Lantana next to my Milkweed and you can see that the proboscis actually snags pollen and transfers it to other flowers.

When you get close to a front on shot of a butterfly DOF becomes a problem. If it isn't from the side or straight on some part of the wing will be out of focus. In this case I thought it took up too much area of the image so I eliminated it.
