Whitby Harbor
Whitby is a picturesque harbor town. I knew there was the remnants of an old Abbey on the hill over the town. Mike knew more about the town's history - I was surprised to find out the Captain Cook sailed from this harbor. This is the Whitby harbor entrance - the actual harbor is off to the left of the frame) taken from the hill/bluff above the town and harbor. This image is a composite of 5 frames stitched together, and then the resulting image was then exposure blended (aka single file/exposure tone mapped) to enhance the clouds. The skies this day were overcast (and it was quite windy).

Whitby Harbor
An unusual composition for Whitby Harbour piers. Most I've seen tend to have been taken from and include some of the 199 steps.
Well done for going for a different approach

Re: Whitby Harbor
Interesting composition and a nice place John Those piers are good subjects and they can also be shot individually with different angles.
