Is there a path to this building? I don't know about the shade you chose here...a bit busy. Maybe you can crop a bit more from the bottom to balance it up. I like the sky. Have you thought of mixing that with gradient, but not with sepia of course. Just my thoughts..

While the pavilion is easy to access it does not have a designated path mostly just grassy walkways between vegetable gardens. I am happy with the existing balance. I have modified the shade a bit in the one below. Thank you for your comments.

I liked the original Sam - I like the toning, and your shadows feel deeper in that edit. The sepia gives a warm feel that suits the image for me. I like the square within a square composition very much, and the layers that the clouds add.

I'm a big fan of your pics - while this lacks the drama of some of your photos, you've handled the composition and processing really well and created a beautiful scene.

Thanks Simon. I appreciate your comments on why the sepia version is more pleasing & the square/square composition. I made 19 versions of it trying to perfect the look that I was trying to achieve. It remains a work in progress but good to know the sepia is working for someone.

Wow this is amazing! I really like the sepia one too, but this is over the top beautiful.

I like your sepia toning of the original post, Sam, but I am not sure sepia is the best choice, given the subject matter. The colour version does have more impact.

I like both Black and White and now the colour is so much more beautiful and stronger because of the stronger tone of the flowers as against the colour of the brick. A few blues and purple in between matches the sky and I was wondering what that big blob of blue in the corner and nearly ask that you remove that because it sort of unbalance the image (Then I realized it was the sign of the darn EXIF. )
