Two views of a bearded iris
From our garden. These are amazing flowers, but it's not all that easy to position them for a shot that will show their complexity. C&C welcome, of course.

Re: Two views of a bearded iris
Dan the first one is absolutely gorgeous in the middle that looks like a pool of gold there with the light. The second one, a much closer one is also beautiful. I have not had a red/maroon iris before. But this year I think I will start collecting different colours. I will remember this technique/angle when mine flowers again next year...

Thank you for showing me how much more there is for me to learn. Gorgeous colours and textures.

I like the 2nd shot, Dan. That is a really bold composition.

Re: Two views of a bearded iris
Thanks, all. We are really short of bugs this year, perhaps because we had a cold snap that killed a lot of the buds for early flowers, so I am focusing (no pun intended) more on flowers this spring.

I like them both but the second one I find especially special. Very nicely done.
