Whitby Harbor - 2
Another view of the Whitby Harbor. This time from the other side of the harbor looking back toward the abbey ruins and church on the hill. This image is four frames stitched together and then run through a tone mapping process to blend together several exposure modifications to the resulting stitched image. I did this to show some details in the sky/clouds.

Re: Whitby Harbor - 2
John, interesting images. For my taste, the buildings appear oversaturated in colour, but then I didn't see the actual buildings.
On the left edge of the photos, is that an additional breakwater?

Re: Whitby Harbor - 2
My choice of a crop is preferably , leave it as it is...I like the scene but I do not like the foreground. The second one is a much stronger image but I missed that bridge on the right hand side.

Re: Whitby Harbor - 2
Thank you John, Bruce, and Izzie for your comments/feedback. I like the first image - but I wish I had gotten a bit more of the bridge on the right side. The roofs in the foreground are regrettable, but I could not get any higher to take the images.
Bruce, to the left is the harbor entrance to the north sea (seen in this thread: Whitby Harbor)

Re: Whitby Harbor - 2
It is a very picture! It would be beautiful if the foreground could be replaced by some Photoshop magic.🤔

Nice set John, I find the composition better in the uncropped version

Nice shots John, the pano shot works best for me and you've caught everything about the atmosphere of Whitby.
