iPhone shield...
I have an iPhone 6s Plus which does a very nice job of recording video EXCEPT if the sun is in back of me, I cannot see the image I am recording nor the recording controls because of the flare on the screen.
Does anyone know of a shield which will keep the sun off the LCD of the phone but, still allow me to use the record on/off button.
I carry the phone in a leather case which, when opened, could act as the bottom of the shield.
BTW: I always shoot my iPhone videos with the phone in the horizontal (landscape oriented) position which provides the largest video image. Too bad the case doesn't open the other way because I could probably live with the open portion shielding the LCD screen.
I have made an internet search (including eBay) and all that I come up with is the protective cover for the phone screen.
I tried YouTube and this is just too big for an iPhone...

Re: iPhone shield...
Robin, I don't but, I found some on eBay. I was using the wrong parameter with shield when I should hve used hood.
There are several like this on eBay

I want to find one that I can use while the iPhone is still in the case...
I guess that I'll DIY for the hood....
I found a small cardboard mailing box that fits the phone + case exactly. All I have to do is cut an opening for the lens and a slot through which I can stick my finger to actuate the record on/off button. Then I paint the box black. I'll post an image when I get through with the fabrication...
