    My First Attempt At Waterfalls

Went for a hike at Grimes Glenn Park here in Upstate NY and found some really nice rushing water to practice long exposures on. I used a 10 stop Neutral Density filter and a Sigma 10-20mm on a Nikon D7100 with a tripod and remote. I got some purple bars across some of the photos...I don't know what causes that yet? Any ideas, pointers, etc are welcome!

Those purple bars are where light leaked in through the view finder. you need to put something over the view finder when you are doing those types of images.

    Hi Zak

#7 is clearly my favorite. The way it's lit is interesting, and the "not-straight-on" camera placement helps the dynamic of the picture.

One thing that I would have found interesting, framed the waterfall, so the top sky was removed. But great scene!

btw i can't see those purple bars?

Thanks for the pointer! As for the purple bar in some of the photos, if you look closely across the center of the pictures you'll see it. I did my best to make the purple bar look faint but they're still there.
