Sometimes it is nice to stay home
I stayed within a 10-15 minute drive of home this weekend for all photography....sort of my own little photo challenge.
Friday night was the kick-off of the Albertville Friendly City Days. It has become the custom for the towns in this neck of the woods to hold their festivals on staggered weekends beginning just after Memorial Day. These festivals generally feature kiddie carnivals, fireworks, and a parade down Main Street.
So Friday night found me searching for a good spot for the show
I paid my fee in blood, as mosquitoes were out in force. I had some fun playing with different shutter speeds

nikon d750, nikkor 28mm f1.8, f/14, 10 sec, iso 100
My conclusion...3 sec was pretty good for capture of single bursts, 10 sec was good for capture of multiple bursts, 30 sec began to get blown out and too busy for my taste....could have tried closing down the aperture a bit
