    Anchorage

I have had this idea in my head for this one for some time and finally got around to trying it. Comments welcome. Taken in the Menai Straight. Viewing in lightbox recommended.

What I love about this, even more than the picture itself, is:-

I think once we get to this level, then we can call ourselves a serious photographer. It's that thing about 'seeing' the image even before you find the location in which to shoot it.

And then, just as a bonus, you do produce a super image.

That little dark thing floating to the left of the yacht distracts me and I'd wonder about taking it out. But I love how this has been finished and presented.

I like this image very much. Great that you actually envisioned this shot, very creative.

Thanks all for the continued comments.

Donald, I did wonder about the thing floating on the left (two birds) but I came to the conclusion that in a strange way, they balanced the comp.

John, I don't know how I have missed seeing this post, the scene and editing are wonderful. The sense of solitude, peace, and yet still a bit of mystery.

Wonderful image John. I can only hope to get to the point some day where my PP can produce something close to this.
