I have seen these kind of fences while traveling to Wyoming...at least they are called snow breaks or something similar. I like empty beaches -- at least my dog can enjoy it (and me.)
Beautiful.... i liked the sky very much too
Same principal, basically they are snow fences, it stops drifting sand to allow grasses to establish and stabilize the dunes.
Haven't heard nor seen anything about Roxie, doing ok I hope.
Thanks Nandakumar
Yup! she's OK...we arrived yesterday from our trip (Tennessee) and she jumped for joy when she saw us, really jumping. She was glad we came home. She has this separation-anxiety-thing because she was abandoned by her original owner and I do not think it helps for Bill to remind her that...she's basically a good kid, very protective of what you ask her to protect, e.g., the car or my chair.
Very nice image, the greenery in the foreground brings me right into the scene.
Sometimes an empty beach has negative aspects for the area, either polluted water or shark infested waters, hopefully that's not the case for this beach. Nicely captured.
Thank you Kay.
Thanks John, no worries though, it just happened to be a cool, windy, cloudy day.
Nice shot, Jack. Did you consider a pano perspective?
Thanks Greg. As it was there was a vehicle parked just off to the right on the beach so I had to crop it out.
Wonderful composition. Nice angle choice.

Thank you Tony.
