Tejal, I like the composition. The people in the background seem to be nicely balanced by the drawing in the foreground. The photo tells a nice story.

This one is not working as well as it could because there are two "subjects" that are fighting for our attention.

The first is the family group up at the top left (and I find the crop a bit tight, especially at the top of the frame) and then there is the drawing in the sand.

Two major compositional elements in the same image that compete for our attention does not give you a strong composition.

Really nice image, I like it. I'd give it just a little more of the shadows slider.

    Quite nice shot
but, imo, it does have some small technical issues.

Both of the centers of interest are at the very margins and the right side is almost empty.
It is a bit dark and cold and needs a bit of sharpening.

If some is added, the center tones brightened, the image warmed and shrpened a bit, I like the look a bit more.

The subjects are more imnportant in the frame and both of them are more relatable (obviously only my opinion.)

My thoughts were the same as Manfred.

Just an idea; crop to 4 x 5 ratio and lose a bit from the right side. That appears to bring the two competing elements closer together.

Hello, Tejal. A nice family moment beautifully recorded!

Regarding the composition, I have to agree with Manfred. At my first glance, my eyes could not "lock" on the people. They, instead, kept going to the drawing in the sand. So, I do believe the concentration on the main subject (the family) would cause this image to work better, in my opinion.

Just play with it, try some crops, because it is really a beautiful moment that you captured!

    Regards,

Tejal....partly I agree too with Manfred, but as I am not that good with giving advice, for my untrained eye, your photo looks just very nice.....as usually .......

Nice capture of the family, the sand art is difficult to interpret.

Tejal, I realize I'm in the minority, but I still like your composition. The drawing in the foreground makes me wonder if the family drew it and have now moved on to build something, or they were inspired by the drawing and have decided to create artwork of their own. IMO they do not compete but compliment each other.

I like what Lew has done with the levels. It does help.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Actually, at the time of taking the pic, the figure (woman face) and the father n children, I felt making a family. That's why I incorporated the figure too. I have some other shots where I have not incorporated the figure. I will share that too shortly.
