Highly misleading caption but still brought a smile. Nicely captured.
Like them Dave, well done.
Is it just me? -- I don't understand the title as relating to the part of the flower... Guess I have been raised cossetted in the corner of the library and thrown an onion skinned Webster dictionary to read.
Both good, Dave. I prefer the composition of the first, but I think the focus on the organs is better in the second.
Izzie, the stigma, style, anther, filament, and pistil are considered the reproductive parts of the flower. That was the reasoning behind the title. Perhaps a different title would have been more appropriate. Hopefully the title didn't offend anyone, if it did I apologize.
Dave
Excellent shots
You didn't offend me, just that the only complete flower that I know from school is the hibiscus but at the time since, it was never explained in a sexual kind of way. .. and I never bothered to find out. Some flowers, like the roses, for example are propagated by grafting and that is not sexual. I just knew flowers are beautiful. That is enough info for me. Sorry for the ignorance. You didn't have to sssplain.
