This is far from perfect (which is why I "ortonized" it), but I really like the way the horses are interacting.

Personally, I'm terrified of horses, so getting close enough to take a picture of them is a challenge for me :p.

That's a very nice effect for the photo, Elise. It certainly looks like the two of them are having a moment:)

Suz. I LOVE #1. It has a wistful and almost abstract quality to it. In fact it reminds me of the standard Windows wallpaper options, lol

Thank you Gareth. It's probably my favorite horse photo I've ever taken, But that's because it's my beloved Ivanhoe, who sadly passed away last year. I bought him when he was 4 and he was 27 when he passed. I'm so glad that you picked up on the feeling. For me it's a VERY personal memory, because I used to just sit with him and pass the time while he grazed. So this was a very familiar view to me. :o :)

This is a picture of my friends horse Jasper.

It was one of the first photo's I toook with my SLR...I'm really pleased with the way it came out. I've not edited it at all, so C&C on how I could improve it are welcome.

Hi Elise,

Don't be afraid of horses. I live with them all the time. They are flight animals so will run away from you faster than you can from them. I can see what you saw in the interaction but I am no sure what "ortonized it" means?

Can you explain this to me?
