Into the Satpura National Park in Madhya Pradesh

On my recent trip to Satpura National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India, I brought along my A7II and a loan set of Sigma 150-600C and the MC-11 from Sigma India. Even though I often use my A7II for portrait work, It was my first time using a mirrorless setup to go into the forest, as I was used to traveling into the wild with a Canon 7DII and 5DIII.

I have to get used to the initial imbalance feel of the setup and bring lots of spare batteries for the camera. The lock-on rate was fast and accurate (with AF-c and PDAF). A tat slower that using the 7DII. But I feel that the tracking is better on the A7II, and can seem to be a little excitable at times.

I like the second shot the best since the animal is clearly seen and not surrounded by clutter. It's a nice sharp shot with good catchlight in the eye and good DOF. You might consider cropping off the bright spots on the right side. I've never seen one of those kind of squirrels before. Thanks for sharing.
