Enjoyed both of them. Presentation sucks.... not really but a few more lines/linefeeds between the images would be an idea.
I like these a lot.
That's what I'm not good at - seeing detail an making pictures of a small area of a scene. I tend to see the wider picture and don't focus my attention in on only a part of what I can see, in where there may be a great image.
The trick I've used to train my eye into seeing smaller details is to repeatedly go out with just the one prime lens so you are severely restricted in what you can shoot - or more to the point you have to work very hard to find shots that the one focal length will give. When I first got a (35mm film) camera all I had was a 50mm, something that continued for a good few years before I could afford a second lens. I think thats why I love the FoV so much and 30+ years on I still enjoy wandering around with only one lens.
I like both of these, particularly the back light coming through the poppies. Didn't realise the 35mm Fuji did that to specular highlights (no.2). Worth remembering. Nice shots.
Both really great photos but were I to have to pick it would be #1. I agree with Donald, I haven't mastered being able to draw my eye away from the big picture to allow being drawn into interesting details. I have started to go out with just a prime lens and need to do this more often.
