    I have been taking shots of this fellow for 4 days. Still not exactly what I wanted but he is in a very awkward situation.

    Focus and composition look fine but you are very slightly on the wrong side of over exposure with the white areas.

    Can be very difficult to get this perfect in just one shot where correct exposure for the brightest area makes the shadows too dark. Which is why I often do a merge of two Raw conversions from the same shot, but that won't help once the over exposure point has been exceeded. Some form of HDR is the best option in theory, but often not an acceptable option when there is wind or subject movement.

    As the macro gods would have it he is still there so I'll probably try again.
